Sainte Suzanne
The medieval town of Sainte-Suzanne is an 11th century strong-hold, just 5 minutes drive from the house. Its history can be traced back to William the Conqueror who held the fortress from 1083 – 1087. The chateau was built in the reign of Henry IV (1608). The visitors centre is open May to September: 9.00am to 6.00pm and October to April: 9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 5.30pm.
